US 'Buddhist bishop' appears headed for defeat

The election of an Episcopal (Anglican) bishop in the U.S. state of Michigan who has practised Buddhist meditation and changed traditional church prayers appears headed for defeat, according to an unofficial tally kept by a newspaper reporter, Religion News Service reports.
